The Watermill B&B, Glendaruel, Argyll

The Watermill is situated on the Cowal Way walk, a very quiet single track road, set in 5 acres of mature woodlands
Makes for a very quiet, relaxing atmosphere, in our very comfortable rooms

Architect William Leiper designed the Watermill as a working mill to house two families (one upstairs, one down) as well as all the small industrial plant for such an operation. The entire structure was built over a stream and the huge water wheel was installed right against the Mill house.

The original design enables the modern day accommodation to have a real sense of separation, each element of the building having its own entrance. For those staying in the Sarah Kirkpatrick and Janet Crawford suites a sense of adventure is immediately apparent when entering the house via the turret as you climb the spiral stairs past all Michael Webster's sailing memorabilia. For those who aren't so mobile the Joiner's shop presents a much less challenging approach, through its own door at the front of the building.

All three Bed and Breakfast rooms are well-appointed, and provide an exceptional level of comfort all round.

Two of the bedrooms are very spacious, and have extra beds for children. All bedrooms are en-suite. An evening meal can be served by prior arrangement. Tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms. A comfortable lounge with Sky TV is available for guests.

Short breaks, in this little known, beautiful glen, less than 2 hours from Glasgow, individually designed bedrooms, and public rooms, wood burning stoves to toast your toes, natural silence and tranquillity, to re charge your batteries.
